6th Annual Project Homeless Connect - January 2014

Helping to improve lives in our community...

Greater Gallatin United Way helped sponsor Project Homeless Connect again this year. In addition, with the help of Target and Barnes & Noble, we were able to supply "goody" bags for children and families. The bags contained hats, mittens, books for Pre-k to 6, games, and more. We are thankful for our many partners who participate in this event and thank GGHAC and all it's volunteers!

Thanks to dozens of volunteers and generous community members, those in need are getting connected today with vital services in Bozeman.

"I was able to find out some medical issues that i need to deal with, didn't really know my blood pressure and stuff so it's been good in that sense," Homeless Bozeman resident David Ayers said.

He says he's surprised with how many services are actually available at the 6th annual Project Homeless Connect.

"I assumed it would be a couple of people doing a couple of things," Ayers said. "But if you pan around in here, there's like 12 people giving haircuts. I mean there's just a ton of people doing everything they can to help us and it's outstanding."

The whole point of Project Homeless Connect is to help those in need get critical services, like dental work and health screenings.  Read More
