2011-2012 Annual Campaign Kick’s Off

We are kicking off our annual fundraising campaign with a goal of $750,000.  As a result of a generous gift from the Gilhousen Family Foundation, starting this year $0.96 of every $1.00 donated is directly invested back in our community. Their gift pays for nearly all of our annual operating expenses!

Greater Gallatin United Way focuses on three building blocks for strengthening our community.

Education:  Keeping kids on track to achieve their full potential.
Health:  Increasing knowledge, resources, access and opportunities to be healthy.
Income:  Fulfilling basic needs, stabilizing people in crisis and building self-sufficiency.

We allocate funds to 25 partner agencies.  Besides partnering with these agencies, Greater Gallatin United Way programs include: the kidsLINK after school initiative, which serves over 1000 children and their families at 23 sites in 4 communities;  the Mammogram Project for under or uninsured women;  2-1-1 Help Center; and FamilyWize discount prescription program.

“One of our most important roles is convener and leader of diverse organizations and individuals.  We understand genuine long-term community impact can only be realized through collaborative efforts and the sharing of resources.  Greater Gallatin United Way assembles diverse organizations to share expertise and resources in order to implement strategies to tackle tough community issues and deliver long-term measurable results,” said Carol Townsend, President and CEO.

We invite businesses to take a leadership role by initiating workplace campaigns and individuals to donate to the Greater Gallatin United Way.

"Local businesses and individuals in Gallatin, Madison, Meagher and Park counties gave generously in 2010.  Our total revenues exceeded $1million.  We are looking to raise $750,000 during this year’s annual campaign, a significant portion of our total revenue goal of $1.3 million,” said Sylvia Drain, Board Chair and Volunteer.
