As the only reproductive healthcare clinic serving south central Montana, Bridgercare sees over 5,000 patients a year. Their sliding fee scale no longer makes affordability a question when seeking care. GGUW's Community Impact grant supported two Licensed Clinical Social Worker student interns (LCSW) to work at Bridgercare for a year, nearly doubling the capacity of Bridgercare's mental healthcare staff.
Through Bridgercare's outreach programs and healthcare services, they make an impact in our community by providing comprehensive, compassionate, affordable, whole-person healthcare to community members throughout south central Montana. Thriving communities need safe and affordable access to healthcare services, including mental health support, which is a critical component of whole-person healthcare.
As of April 1, 2022, Bridgercare manages Montana's Title X network, which provides sliding fee-scale reproductive healthcare across the state. In 2023 and beyond, Bridgercare seeks to pilot and extend the organization's proven model for sliding fee-scale collaborative care mental healthcare services to rural clinics across the state, increasing access to timely and affordable mental healthcare services for all.
