BOZEMAN, Mont. — Greater Gallatin United Way is taking action shining a light on critical community needs.

We met Greater Gallatin United Way president and CEO Kimberly Hall. She shared the non-profit takes a holistic approach to helping others.

“We do this through leadership, advocacy, convening and then taking action through a variety of different impact areas,” said Hall.

kidsLINK Summer Camps may be over but the memories and friendships made will last a lifetime. More than 250 children spent the summer enjoying weekly themed lessons filled with laughter, education, and enrichment. KidsLINK summer camps offered a wide range of activities where children were able to explore individual interests, build friendships and confidence, teach teamwork, have new experiences, get their bodies moving, and build mental health skills.

Challenges abound for child care providers; senators signal support for additional aid

The Gallatin Valley YMCA started offering free child care for front-line workers in March. There are now 11 children on the waitlist for that service.

The Commons is donating its space for the program for K-8 kids, but it’s still an expensive endeavor for the nonprofit, YMCA CEO Andrea Stevenson said. And now businesses are reopening and more people are going back to work, but schools are staying closed.
