United Way continues to top the annual Forbes list of the largest U.S. charities.  In addition United Way is one of five “Forbes All-Star Charities – Top Rankings for Efficient Groups.” Brian Gallagher, United Way CEO Interveiw, "Top-Five” ranking. Forbes’ 100 Largest Charities NOTE: The revenue reflected on the Forbes list is for the U.S. only. Around the world, United Way raised $5.14 billion, making United Way the world’s largest privately supported charity.

There is something special about October. It is the mid point between summer and winter solstice. It is the time of shimmering frost upon yellowing pastures, golden leaves blanketing area hillsides and football games under brisk blues skies. It is a time when men hunt elk. It is a time when women bake.
