kidsLINK Goals and Outcomes

 Vision:

  To change community conditions by increasing the number of out-of-school time programs to promote children's success in school and in life. 
     

 Goals:

 

·        Provide safe places and enhancement activities for children in out-of-school time.  

·        Decrease number of children home alone in out-of-school time.

·        Increase participants’ success academically, emotionally, and socially.

·        Provide support to working families.  

     

 Strategies:

 

·        Initiate partnerships with schools that commit to providing dedicated space for After School Programs with access to common areas for activities.

·        Schools agree to an integrated plan of shared goals and evaluation of outcomes.

·        Engage community-based programs to provide support through curriculum, volunteers, and projects for participants.

·        Increase resources and expand community partnerships for continued enhancement and growth.

·        Educate community on value of building healthy communities through school-based programs that are effective and accountable.

·        Identify and implement effective practices and measure the results.

·        Increase number of children connected to caring adults in a safe environment.

·        Increase opportunities to teach children skills for making healthy choices.
