Request Greater Gallatin United Way Funds

The mission of Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW) is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.  The community investment process is volunteer-based and results-oriented.  The organization focuses on changing lives of people who live here through improving conditions related to health, education, and income.

Funding is one of multiple strategies that GGUW may use to advance community priorities and meet community needs.  Funding decisions are made in context to program strengthening, capacity building, public policy, 2-1-1, and community initiatives that comprise the rest of the work done.

Priorities will be based on a variety of tools including community assessments, focus groups, surveys, and information gleaned through the grant application process.  Ultimately, GGUW will be guided by desired outcomes determined by the community.  Activities will be balanced with the GGUW capacity to affect identified needs.

Resources may be directed to programs through an open application process, through strategic initiatives, and through other activities that meet the desired outcomes determined by the community.  The overall fiscal health of an organization and their funding insecurity will be considered.   The process will be accountable, straightforward, user-friendly, and competitive.

Many traditional and non-traditional partners, working together to be innovative, creative, flexible, and measurable, will be needed to make lasting changes in community conditions.
