Montana 2-1-1 Health and Human Service Information and Referral

Greater Gallatin United Way is part of a Montana coalition working to create and implement 2-1-1.  Dialing 2-1-1 will provide information and referral to health and human services for all the people in Montana, no matter where they live.  With Gallatin County's Help Center acting as the lead Agency, Gallatin and Park County's system is working.  By 2009, the service will be enacted statewide so people will be able to dial 2-1-1 and access necessary information for themselves or their loved ones.  Currently, 2-1-1 operates in 37 other states and, in some cases, has provided critical services in times of natural disaster.
