Increasing knowledge, resources, access, and opportunities to be healthy...
Greater Gallatin United Way investment goals are focused on three intertwined building blocks of a strong community: Education, Health, and Income. If one of these building blocks is not available, the current and future health of the community is weakened.
We, along with our community partners, support the health initiative through the following activities and programs:
- Conven
e discussions and promote increased mental health services. - Fund senior nutrition programs and other services, and advocacy to keep seniors living independently as long and safely as possible.
- Enroll children in the Children's Health Insurance Program and fund children's dental care; increase opportunities for exercise.
- Fund hope, healing, and safety programs for domestic violence and sexual assault victims.
- Advocacy and outreach to ensure that women get life-saving mammograms.
- Fund crisis counseling, suicide prevention services, and connect people to 211 help line.
- Resource Guide for Parents of Children with Disabilities
